Alumni Service Center Introduction

Chingfen Chang, Director of the Alumni Service Center

With a long history of cultivating numerous health industry professionals, this University has established four colleges and the Center for Liberal Studies, with 12 departments covering the professional fields from birth to death. The number of students has grown to a record high with dynamic and diverse development. There are more than 30,000 alumni who have graduated from National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (hereafter refers as NTUNHS) until now.

Since 2009, the Alumni Association has applied to the Ministry of the Interior to form a national organization with the official name of "National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences Alumni Association" to serve alumni who have joined the Association after graduating from various departments. However, in the process of serving alumni, the Association has found that although alumni have a high loyalty for NTUNHS, they still need to be invited to join the Association as a practical action and become members of the Alumni Association.

The alumni are the extension of the school's influence, and current students are future alumni. Therefore, in 2014, the University established the Alumni Service Center (hereafter referred to as the ASC), which is organized under the secretary's office of this University to serve the alumni, hoping to better integrate the University’s resources with the Association. By cooperating together, the alumni and NTUNHS can mutually benefit and share the honor.

It is also an opportunity for alumni to learn about the development of the University and its resources. On the other hand, the University can showcase its honor in nurturing talents and serving people through alumni’s excellent performance in various professions.

The Objectives of the ASC are as follows:

  1. To assist in the promotion and development of Alumni Association affairs and activities.
  2. To build, update, and maintain the alumni database.
  3. To handle the selection and recognition of outstanding alumni.
  4. To assist alumni with inquiries about the University's consultation and application for documents.
  5. To arrange and receive alumni who return to the University for a visit.
  6. To promote fundraising and to obtain social resources.
  7. To assist in the editing and distribution of alumni publications and newsletters.
  8. To design and produce various publicity and souvenirs.
  9. Other assigned matters.

In order to implement the Principal's philosophy of the University’s governance, the ASC has a bulletin webpage. You are welcome to visit the ASC fan page at https://www.facebook.com/NTUNHSASC or search for " NTUNHS Alumni Service Center" on FB.

The Association will announce relevant information and news, including the graduation album images, alumni reunions, homecoming events, the most joyful and warm alumni music dinners, the 70th anniversary commemorative magazine, and the list of outstanding alumni with their stories. If you visit the main campus, you are welcome to visit the square in front of the library, where the history of the University, the past and present of the University, and the collection and writings of former Principle Chu are displayed. These are wonderful memories worth remembering. It is lucky that we were educated in the most youthful years of our lives at NTUNHS, where the traces of our growth together exist. We all carry the mark of NTUNHS.

The Center is a bridge between alumni and the University, and we invite you to join us in building a more complete, harmonious, and friendly campus. Chingfen is honored to undertake Teacher Meili Chen as the Director of the Alumni Service Center, serving alumni, faculty, and staff. I am currently a teacher in the Nursing Department and in my 25th year of service to NTUNHS since graduating from the 6th of a two-year junior college program in 1989[OC1] . We welcome all of you to come back to NTUNHS or join the fan page, so you will receive NTUNHS’s information without missing out.
